About Stan...

Markus' life long love of music began when he acquired a five string banjo at age eight.  The natural progression to guitar continued through his early adult life.  While in college he was exposed to classical guitar by attending a Narcisso Yepes concert and has since pursued his dream of "Classical Guitarist". 

Formal study began eighteen years ago with Richard Siegfried and has continued for the last five years under the tutelage of Raymond Mueller and now recently with Rene' Izquierdo at UW Milwaukee. 

He has been the first place winner in the adult division of the Conservatory's classical guitar competition from 2003-2005.  Stan has performed as a duo with his teacher, as a member of the Teleman Guitar Quartet, and currently enjoys performing as a soloist throughout the Milwaukee area.
